Vintage mid-century figural fish platter from Vallauris, the celebrated ceramic town on the Côte d'Azur, glazed in glossy chocolate brown with a vivid reactive orange and red drip glaze running through the dorsal fins and tail. The molded scales, fins, and red mouth are signature details of mid-century Vallauris figural pottery. Stamped Vallauris on the underside. Beautiful as a sculptural serving piece for charcuterie or appetizers, or displayed on its own as a piece of mid-century French pottery.
