CURATOR'S NOTE
The Caron family workshop in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli was founded by master carver Paul-Émile Caron in the early 1950s and became one of the leading names in Canadian folk sculpture. Following the family transition in 1976, Sculptures Caron Inc. continued the tradition of hand-carved Quebec folk figures, and this piece is a lovely example of that continuing craft.

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use.
