Antique 19th century American stoneware bottle in a rich manganese or Albany slip glaze, with a classic cylindrical form, sloping shoulder, and double-collar mouth typical of mid-to-late 1800s liquid storage bottles (used for beer, cider, or ink). Stamped with "RM" maker's mark near the neck. A great addition to a primitive bottle collection or as a shelf accent in a dark academia-inspired library or study.
CONDITION
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use, including chips to the glaze at the base and rim.
